Joseph Corrigan (Joe) is a PA Licensed Private Detective and the owner of Spear Investigative Services LLC. Prior to starting his Private Investigation business, Joe was a member of the Philadelphia Police Department for 25 years. During the early part of his law enforcement career, Joe was assigned to patrol areas throughout the City of Philadelphia. In addition to his assignments in the patrol division, Joe was assigned to the Detective Bureau Warrant Unit where he worked as an undercover Officer, infiltrating various anti-government groups which were attempting to disrupt the Republic National Convention. After 12 years on the force, Joe was promoted to the rank of Detective. Joe’s assignments in the Detective Bureau include the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) where he primarily investigated Commercial Robberies and Shooting Investigations, as well as numerous high-profile incidents. Joe was also assigned to the Special Victims Unit (SVU), and the Philadelphia Police Gun Permit Unit. Joe is a certified Hostage Negotiator, Crisis Response Team Member, and has received training in Dignitary Protection through the Department of State – Diplomatic Security Service. Joe was assigned to protection details during the Philadelphia Papal Visit (World Meeting of Families) and the Democratic National Convention. In addition to Joe's professional experience, he is a current Rosemont College Student pursuing a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security.
